What's On - Month By Month



Chinese New Year - Paris' Chinese community pulls out all the stops and puts on a wonderful parade. The best of the action is around Place D'Italie.


Foire du Trone - from late March to late May, this big funfair takes place at the Bois de Vincennes.

Paris Marathon - 26 miles, taking in some of the city's most famous sites.

The Montmartre Vintage Car Rally. Classic cars climb up the hill to the top of Montmartre.


Fete De La Musique - 21st June. Free concerts all over Paris. Most years, there are big name acts doing free outdoor gigs.

La Course Des Garcons - the waiters race. A traditional race where waiters, dressed in typical Paris waiter outfits and carrying trays with glasses and bottles, race in front of the Hotel De Ville.

Gay Pride Parade - usually on the last Saturday in June and goes from Montparnasse to Bastille.


Bastille Day - 14th July. Lots of events on 13th-14th July. On the 14th there's a spectacular military parade down the Champs Elysees. On the evenings of the 13th and 14th, there are the famous Bal Des Pompiers (Firemen's Dances).

Tour De France - the final stage of the race takes place in Paris.




The first weekend of the month sees the Prix De L'Arc De Triomphe at Longchamp racecourse.
